Silvertown Tunnel Project Agreement

A team led by Bam finally signed a $1 billion contract with Transport for London to start work on the Silvertown Tunnel project, six months after being selected for the position. The new 1.4 km long twin-drilling tunnel will be built to relieve congestion in east London and improve the reliability of the existing Blackwall tunnel by providing an alternative river crossing route between the Royal Docks and the Greenwich Peninsula. The signing of the contract follows the selection of the RiverLinx consortium as the preferred bidder in May 2019 for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the Silvertown Tunnel.
